How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic children's story. Written by Dr. Seuss in 1957 it was released as a cartoon in 1966. But is it a story for children or a message for their parents?
How the Grinch stole Christmas is an easy mystery to solve. The more difficult question for Who-ville is who (or what) is the Grinch.
Any ideas or suggestions?
I believe the Grinch is commercialism. I'm a firm believer that Jesus is appalled at using the occasion of His birth to sell merchandise in the stores. People get so wrapped up in finding that perfect present and wrapping and making sure that the kids have an equal number of gifts and finding something for Great Aunt Dolores who already has too much and getting a parking space at the mall that we forget to celebrate the Reason for the Season as well as just spend quiet time with friends and family.

I think it's Greed. Even starts with Gr. And the Grinch is green - just like the saying, "green with envy." Just my thought.

I just pray that we all be filled with joy and love like the whos were inspite of the "grinch" stealing their monetary Christmas, it happens to us all and I dont think its an accident either. I truly believe most of us do remember what Christmas is really about, and when we forget Im pretty sure we can count on the "grinch" to remind us.

Read this today: "Human nature is like a stable inhabited by the ox of passion and the ass of prejudice; animals which take up a lot of room and which I suppose most of us are feeding on the quiet...and it is there Christ must be born and in their very manger He must be laid - and they will be the first to fall on their knees before Him." Eckhart
The Grinch is Human nature.
